This is the organizational structure for Women Action Point Initiative- Uganda (WAPI), it keeps the balance of governance, professional management, and grassroots participation.
1. General Assembly: The General Assembly is the supreme decision-making body composed of all registered members. It meets at least once a year to approve policies, budgets, and major decisions. Every member has the right to participate, vote, and contribute to discussions.
2. Board of Directors / Executive Committee: This is the governing body elected by the General Assembly. It provides strategic leadership, policy oversight, and ensures accountability. Typical positions include Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and Committee Members.
3. Management Team: Led by the Executive Director, this team handles day-to-day operations. It includes program officers (e.g., Health, Livelihoods, ICT), Finance & Administration Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, and support staff.
4. Field Officers / Community Mobilizers: These are grassroots representatives who implement activities at village and sub-county levels. They mobilize women and girls, facilitate trainings, monitor projects, and report back to the management team.
5. Sub-Committees: Specialized committees may be formed to handle specific areas such as Finance, Projects, Advocacy, or Fundraising. They support the Board and Management Team with technical input.
