Background Overview
Women Action Point Initiative – Uganda (WAPI) is a grassroot community based Organization that aims to reduce poverty among poor women and girls. The organization empowers women in Kasese District to rise above poverty line, climate challenges, and gender inequality. By centering women as agents of change, WAPI builds pathways to resilience, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods.
Through economic empowerment, education, health, clean water, agriculture, and climate action, WAPI transforms lives and communities. Women are not just beneficiaries, they are leaders, innovators, and the driving force behind a more equitable and sustainable future.

Our mission is to empower grassroots women and girls in the Rwenzori Region to break the cycle of poverty and build resilient communities. Through initiatives in empowerment, climate action, health, education, agriculture, gender equality, and clean water, we create dignity, opportunity, and hope.
